9 days Northern Circuit Safari:
Day One: Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha at 9am for Tarangire National Park. Famous for its large elephant population, this park is also home to beautiful scenery and diverse birdlife. Game drive from approximately 11:30am until 6pm. Overnight at Maramboi TentedCamp.
Tarangire's wildlife includes elephants, lions, giraffe, warthog, ostriches, impalas and baboon.
Day Two: Tarangire National Park
Go on an early morning game drive at 6:30am. Return to the lodge at 11am for an afternoon break. Eat lunch at the lodge and proceed on a second game drive from 3pm until 6:30pm. Dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Camp.
Day Three: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Go on a final game drive through Tarangire National Park. Leave the park at approximately 12pm for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge on the Crater rim.
Day Four: Ngorongoro Crater
Depart at 6:30am for a full day Crater game drive. Return to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight.
Resident Crater wildlife includes lions, hyena, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, black rhinoceros, flamingo, hippopotamus, and cheetah.
Day Five: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park. Game drive in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park before reaching Dunia Camp at approximately 6pm.
Species commonly seen in the Serengeti include wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, impala, topi, and leopard. The Serengeti is also home to more than 540 species of birds.
Day Six: Serengeti National Park
Full day in the Central Serengeti. Meals and overnight at Dunia Camp.
Day Seven: Northern Serengeti National Park
Proceed to the Mara River after breakfast. Game drive along the way to the Northern Serengeti, reaching Olakira or Sayari Camp at approximately 5:30pm. Dinner and overnight at Olakira or Sayari Camp.
Day Eight: Northern Serengeti National Park
Spend another full day in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Olakira or Sayari Camp.
Day Nine: Northern Serengeti to Arusha or Zanzibar
Take the 10am flight from Kogatende Airstrip to Arusha or Zanzibar. Transfer to your beach hotel or a day room in Arusha.
